Kenia’s Bridal Portraits

Saturday, November 19th, 2011

A few weeks ago we photographed Servando & Kenia’s wedding. You can see it here. Before the ceremony began we were privileged to spend some time with Kenia and her brides maids. Following are a few portraits & candid shots from those moments.

Can you spot the photographer?

She had some of the most fun we’ve seen any bride have before the ceremony. We love this moment just before the ceremony. High fiving everyone. :) The best.

After the ceremony the wedding party met for water before portraits. I saw the bride sitting alone enjoying the moment and took the photo.

I’m married.

We hope you enjoyed the photo’s. Please follow us on twitter or facebook.

Casey Mueller’s bridal portraits,

Tuesday, August 30th, 2011

A number of months ago we did a portrait session with then Casey Singer. She is now Mrs. Casey Mueller! The bridal session was fabulous! Helen and I were trying some new ideas. Following are a few images from that evening.

The following image was taken as she was climbing some stairs. I liked the texture of the veil & the way the light was falling.

Partial silhouette.

We will end with laughter. This bridal portrait session was a blast. Part of the joy of portrait photography is the making of new friends. It was a pleasure to get to know Casey & her family. Their wedding pictures are soon to follow.

Noel & Justin, Semper Fidelis

Friday, July 22nd, 2011

Last week we had the privilege of hanging with Noel & Justin for a few hours. We took some pictures and she shared how they met. Following is their story and some photographs. Hope you enjoy!

“I’ve know Justin since high school.  He was a senior, I was a freshman. He was my first crush, and of course he did not know this. He joined the Marines after graduating. While in the Corps (4 years) God transformed Justin’s life.”

“Justin received orders to Ellington Field at the end of four years. Moving to Ellington was a big blessing for him and his family, they live in Dickinson, Tx. After his move he began attending  my church, Calvary Chapel. This is when we reconnected. : ) We would talk & share stories from the past four years after church every Sunday. “

“…the more we shared what God was doing in our lives, the more we fell for one another. Now, we did have some help. I was at my best friends house and Justin’s sister was there. I mentioned to her how I had a big crush on her brother when we were in high school. I said this to her with strict instructions not to tell. She told him, and added that if he did not ask me out he would be making a big mistake. At the same time, my best friends mom said Justin was a great guy and we should go out. He asked me out.”

“I must say, like most girls I had a list of what I wanted in a guy and he met most of them. The important ones. He is a Christian. Check. He loves his family and gets along with them. Check. I later added that I wanted him to want to pray with me and read the Bible regularly, or a Christian couple book. I prayed I would not be the one to bring this up, that he would. I prayed this while dating Justin. And, in no time at all, Justin looked at me one day and said, “hey, if we want our relationship to truly be stronger… I believe we should pray together every day before we part, even over the phone. We also need to set aside time to do a devotional.” I was speechless. To this day we pray together and are studying through ‘Crazy Love‘ by Francis Chan.

Justin has decided to be a career Marine.

They are a perfect fit.

“I’ve never been more confident, this amazing man, God has placed back into my life after four years away, is the one.”

“I will spend the rest of my life with him.”
